Chariton Valley Transportation Planning & Development receives $500 to promote Appanoose County

The Appanoose County Tourism Grant Fund selection committee notified Chariton Valley Planning & Development that it has awarded the organization a $500 grant to aid in its promotion of Appanoose County. Appanoose County is one of nine southern Iowa counties that comprises the Historic Hills Corridor, which also includes the counties of Davis, Decatur, Clarke, Lucas, Monroe, Van Buren, Wayne, and Wapello. For the past five years, Appanoose County has been a part of all Historic Hills marketing efforts. Grant funds will be used to expand the Historic Hills website, print exhibits for events which promote Appanoose County through Historic Hills such as the CITR Bank Club Marketplace, Legislative Showcase, and tourism related events.
